Study on Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation in Korean Hemorrhagic Fever
±è¿øµ¿(ÐÝê¹ÔÔ)/Won Dong Kim
Abstract
A study on disseminated intravascular coagulation in patients with Korean
hemorrhagic fever was carried out to understand the pathophysiologic process of the
bleeding tendency.
Plasma fibrinogen, platelet, prothrombin time as a screening tests and serum
fibrinogen/fibrin degradation product, thrombin time, euglobulin lysis time as a
confirmatory tests were measured in 23 cases of Korean hemorrhagic fever and 20 cases
of normal control. 8 out of 23 cases were diagnosed to have disseminated intravascular
coagulation by laboratory criteria proposed by Colman et al.
It is assumed that disseminated intravascular coagulation may play an important role
in the pathogenesis of bleeding tendency of Korean hemorrhagic fever.
